What a great beginning for 2009.
WCR remembers Sally Washurn who passed away recently at the age of 90. Ms. Washburn earned her real estate license in 1960 and was actively selling real estate until her death. She was a member of the Atlanta Board of Realtors and recently honored by the establishment of the Sally O. Washburn Lifetime Achievement Award. The award will recognizze Atlanta Board members in good standing who demonstrate excellence through a minimum of 20 years of active participation and service to the board, its members, and the real estate industry.
Ms. Washburn's proffessional honors and recognitions include 15 years on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Association of Realtors; president, Atlanta Chapter of WCR, Georgia Chapter of WCR; Dean, Georgia Institute of Realtrs; two terms as governor, Georgia Chapter of WCR regional vice president, Region 5, National Chapter of WCR secretary and director of computer multi-list, Dekalb Board of Realtors.

The West Georgia Chapter was honored to have Ms. Washburn speak at one of their Breakfast's last year. Ms. Washburn was a wealth of knowledge and an inspiration to us all. We will miss her dearly.
